About Boitumelo

Boitumelo Monoketsi is a 51-year-old social entrepreneur with extensive experience in Education, Property development, and Community Development. Her passion for children has evolved to address critical social issues such as poverty, child-headed families, gender-based violence (GBV), and the lack of access to opportunities and economic involvement for marginalized communities through rural wealth creation and skills programs.

Her commitment extends to active involvement in various government and non-governmental policy initiatives, including the DSBD NISSED Policy Dialogue on Township Economy Revitalisation, The National Policy Development Framework, the BRICS Skills Development Working Group, CRL, Nedlac, SSCN, NDP, WHRDN Women Human Rights Defenders Network, Commonwealth, AU, and the Competitions Commission.

Boitumelo firmly believes that identity lies within culture and sports, and that Arts and Culture plays a crucial role in the Africa we all want to see. Her efforts are dedicated to ensuring that cultural heritage is not only protected and restored, but also serves as a foundation for a decolonized and unified African future. As a speaker, she champions these causes, driving change and inspiring action across the continent and the world.
